Welcome! This site hopes to bring together non-profit agencies with critical short-term project needs in Southern Chester County (PA) and New Castle County (DE) with business executives who have the time and talent to help. While it was created with displaced (out-of-work) executives in mind, the projects on this site may also appeal to those who are currently employed but are not familiar with some of these organizations.

We currently have 21 projects in Southern Chester County and 12 in New Castle County on this site, and have made a few connections in our first few months. Besides the altruistic benefits, volunteering is a great way to keep your professional skills sharp, beef up your resume, and make new connections. For those who are out of work, the right volunteer job can help you get back in the workforce without interrupting your search or locking you into a long-term commitment.

The short-term projects on these pages (click on I WANT A PROJECT) range from financial analysis, marketing and communications consulting, and website development and enhancement to assistance with fundraising, event planning, grant-writing and administrative support (e.g., creation and updating of e-mail or mailing lists, file reorganization, organizing volunteers).

We have made it easy for non-profit agencies, school districts, and others to request support. All you need to do is click on I NEED A VOLUNTEER and submit the form. There is no cost to participate for either you or the volunteer.

In addition, we are making it easy for non-profits to post full- and part-time positions on the site and for executives to apply for those positions. If you have a position to post, please go to the Non-Profit Job Openings line on the navigation bar and click on I'M LOOKING FOR SOMEONE.
